英文の構造についての質問です。

速読英単語上級編（改訂第３版　P７８）

Males and females look quite different to butterflies ,however,
which perceive light at wavelengths beyond the human visible range
and into ultraviolet.

（訳）しかし蝶の眼には、オスとメスは全く違って見える。蝶は
人間の可視光域を超えて、紫外線まで見ることができるからである。


３行目のandって、 beyond the human visible range と
into ultravioletという副詞句同士をつないでいると考えて
いいですか？それともat wavelengths beyond〜とinto〜ですか？

ここは文脈で判断するしかないと思うのですが、訳例と解説が
微妙で、どうもしっくりきません。
