1. He is not a teacher. 2. He is no teacher.
A Chinese professor of English says: #1 denotes that his occupation is not teaching.
#2 indicates that he lacks the skills needed for teaching, whether he is a teacher or not.
An English tutor from Ireland says: #2 means he is not a teacher,
but it would be used to refer to somebody who thinks he is a teacher, or is trying to teach.
