英語圏の人間は、オーバージェスチャーで
しゃべらないといけないので、つねに
歯をむき出しにして顔全体を使って発話するため、
顔がシワシワになりやすい。
とくにスマイル皺がすごい。

日本語は無表情でも小声でも
深い話や深い感情のやりとりができるので
若い顔が多い。

フィリピンは海外への人材派遣凄いし
シンガポールも外貨依存の金融で成り立ってるし…

あれグループ多すぎてさ、国内は供給過多だから日本の紅白とかアメリカのライブとか出てるんじゃないの？

人種と学習能力に因果関係があるとは思えないけど、英語できる国の人は生きるために勉強してるって感じがする
逆に自分の専攻する進路に国内で雇用と消費者が十分に存在するなら、一見して不要な作業にリソース割くことを脳が非効率に感じるのも理解できるし…

日本人も多分さ、もう1～20年したらブーマー世代が死に始めて首が回らなくなってきて、そこで初めて必死こいて勉強して英語できるようになるんじゃない？
韓国とかみてたらそう思う、あっちの若い人みんなめっちゃ英語できるし、日本より高齢化深刻だし、チキン屋問題起きてるし。

俺も普通にこれ読みにくいと思うぞ。ピンとこないわ
切り抜きでthe examplesでまずtheて何だろう、前文ないけど前文の例かなーで始まって
I am ～で読んでたらthe personでん?となってあれってなるがなんとかcontinuesのsの3単元のおかげでやっと
the example ()を修飾してthe person continues ～となる
ここで今度はthe personは前文を受けてるのか?となるからな
そっから可能性見ながら読んで文法掴んでmost people would agreeが挿入とわかって
そこで初めてthe personが一般人だと分かる
わかっても私が話している例、わが上げる例とかもなんかピンとこない。talkというのが中心義が2人以上で話し合うだから
talk ofのofで話題定義なんかなあぐらいまで思う
他にもtalkingとか意味わからん点もあるが、英語は最初に結論ありきでこれから例をあげると予測したとするとやっとふわふわした
私がこれからあげるいくつかの例において、人は一般的に、多くの人々が普通であると認めるであろう作法を取り続けるものである。
みたいな訳かなあ、と思ったりするがこの後にアメリカ人はこういう時こういうことする、こういう時はこう
国によっても人が正しいと認める作法が変わる、日本ではこれは正しい作法ではない、正しい作法である(ラーメンの食べ方なり)
そういうのがあって初めてこんな感じであろうと訳すことができる文だと思う

戦前の東大文学部英文学科は
ネーティブの教授が英語で講義していた
名作「檸檬」の小説家の梶井基次郎は英語がさっぱり聞き取れず
結局中退、肺結核にかかってたという健康面の事情もあったが
ノーベル文学賞の川端康成も東大英文学科に入学したが、上記のように
英語講義なので卒業しやすい国文学科に転科した。
太宰治も東大仏文学科に入ったがフランス語の原書で講義行われるので
結局中退した　太宰は翻訳本で講義されると思ってたようだ

受験英語は本来長い学習時間が必要な外国語習得を
文法や語彙を個別暗記させることで速習させようとする試みだからな
これによって自然な接触による学習では5000時間程度かかる
文法と語彙の学習到達度に1000時間程度で到達してしまう

普通レベルの知能の人は知識を詰め込んでもそのままの状態じゃ
活用できないので知識と活用方法を同時に習得す必要があるが
知的エリートは知識があれば活用方法は勝手に思い浮かぶらしい

昔は知的エリート以外大学に進学しなかったから受験英語の在り方は
これで正しかったのかもしれないが普通レベルの知能しかない人も
大学に進学するようになった現代では英語教育の在り方も考えないといけないのかもしれない(´・ω・`)

I watched a video and thought it might be helpful to someone who is not confident of their
English communication.

Yukiko Nakamoto is a non-native English speaker. She couldn’t speak and write English,
but now she can communicate in English smoothly. Why?

When she became a patent translator in 2000 and started writing on technical stuff like
inventions on LED lamps or something else, she came to realize that any advanced or
complicated English is not necessary. She thought it’s simple and plain English that she
needed to describe difficult things.

Then she studied very hard and passed a difficult test. She was awarded by the Ministry
of Education, Culture , Sports, Science and Technology and became a chief instructor at

The person I admire most is Malala Yousafzai. She is a Pakistani activist
defending the right to education for women and the youngest Nobel Prize
laureate.

She was born in Pakistan and began to known at the age of 13 thanks to a BBC
diary. She wrote about her life under the Taliban, which embrace Islamic
religious extremism.

In October 2012, returning home from school, she was shot by a masked
gunman. It was 10 days later that she woke up in a hospital in Biringham,
England The operation was a success and she was discharged three months
later.

She could live a quiet life but she decided to continue her fight for every
girl who can’t go to school and established Malala Fund. She became a
prominent activist for the right to education.

She is a very brave woman who never gave up her belief and was determined to
continue to fight for girls’ education after she was shot. This is the
reason why I admire her most.

Why critical thinking matters

Some people don’t think for themselves when they read books. They only try to
understand what an author says. It’s true reading books is a good habit, but it
will be more effective if you think for yourself.

Critical thinking is the ability to analyze information objectively and make a better
judgement. Examining a text carefully is part of it.

You may get screwed over if you don’t think a text critically. What do you do when
you receive an email that promises you millions? What is your approach to this? If
you get such an email, you have to think critically. You have to doubt that it tells the
truth.

A book may also include false information or a writer may have a bias. So you
have to gather useful and reliable information and judge it for yourself if you
are not sure that they are sound on a topic. That’s because critical thinking
prevent us from believing in it without giving consideration to it

For the above reason, you should not read books passively. You should explore
other points of view and evaluate them and think critically. Then you can make
a more informed judgement. Critical thinking has the power to make your reading
better.
