『The Kite Runner』 のは単語の話でしたが、run のような基本語で、かつ多義的な語は知らなきゃなかなか探しにくいですね。
文構造の問題に関しては、この前読んでみた受験参考書『ポレポレ英文読解プロセス50』から、
一読して意味がわからなかった箇所を抜き出しておきます。そういう箇所がまだありますね。
一度見れば種明かしになり読めるようになりますが、まだまだ、こういう苦手箇所があるのを実感します。

勉強している最中の人がいるかもしれないから、答えや解説は出さないでおきます。

解説を読んで、「やられた！」と思いました（笑）。
